Some places of interest: Laura Ingalls Wilder Cabin in Pepin, National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Outagamie Museum in Appleton, Circus World Museum in Baraboo, The Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, and Wa Swa Goning Village is a 20-acre re-creation of a 17th century Ojibwe village located on the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation in northern Wisconsin.

More than 700 miles of groomed cross-country skiing trails make this state a national leader in Nordic skiing. While generally considered a warm-weather activity, fishing in Wisconsin is nearly as popular during the frozen winter months as it is during the summer.
