Everyone thinks of Mt. Rushmore when they think of South Dakota, and it is indeed impressive and truly a national landmark

Near Mount Rushmore, the world's largest mountain sculpture is in progress. Began in 1948,The Crazy Horse Memorial,
when finished, will stand 641 feet long and 563 feet high. The grounds also hosts The Indian Museum of North America
and the Native American Educational and Cultural Center.
Badlands National Park lies in southwestern South Dakota, encompassing over 240,000 acres.
The Black Hills hosts two of the longest caves in the world. Jewel Cave National Monument, the second longest cave in the
world (135 miles of passages) and Wind Cave National Park the fourth longest (110 miles of passages).
Of interest in Deadwood South Dakota is an old gold mine where you can try "panning for gold", several historical museums,
a cemetery containing the graves of Wild Bill Hickok (who was killed here) and Calamity Jane, and many historic hotels and
saloons.
The Black Hills, which contain cities

will find every one's beloved stone age family, the Flintstones. On our
